
Rachel Shapiro, LMSW
Rachel is a Licensed Master Social Worker in NY and CT who specializes in working with individuals that have a wide range of mental health needs such as anxiety, stress, ADHD, learning difficulties, relationship struggles and low mood. She also has extensive knowledge working with individuals with neurodevelopmental delays. With experience in both private and public school settings, she has also worked with parents of school aged children who struggle with managing their own behaviors.
In session, she creates a safe and supportive environment, as well as a therapeutic partnership for clients to explore, reflect on and communicate their struggles. Together with her clients, she problem-solves coping strategies and solutions to help each person grow.
Rachel works from a strength-based approach and looks at each client's individual needs. She is trained in CBT and DIRFloortime® model and uses these methods to provide her clients with the necessary tools for change.
